A little background

Born to Lord and Lady Aldridge on their Sussex Estate and named, perhaps a little unfortunately, Geraldine Erogenous Jemima Aldridge, but known to all of her close friends, reputedly for good reason, quite simply as Erotica.

Erotica had a privileged upbringing on her parents Estate where she developed her love for horses, nature and shooting. Indeed, even with the passing of years Erotica's name is still heralded around the county for her undoubted riding skills, and, it must be said, very fine looks.

Educated at Roedean School for girls in Sussex, Erotica went on to excel in most things that she touched, but her joy of riding remained dominant. However following a few wayward moments during her latter school days her parents decided to send her to the Institut Villa Pierrefeu finishing school in Montreaux, Switzerland and it is here that she truly relished, and blossomed into the fine lady that we know her as today.

Some years later, Erotica visited The Gambia to photograph elephants in their natural habitat and it was while on this trip that she literally bumped into her future lover and father of her children, Sparticus, who at the time had been somewhat ambitiously attempting to capture a notoriously dangerous Bull elephant during the mating season.

In the heat of the African nights, romance quickly blossomed and within six months Erotica and Sparty were married at Canterbury Cathedral and, some might say somewhat controversially, her first child, Amadora, was born some three months later.

Erotica and Sparty have since raised three further children at their family home in the Cotswolds, Massimo, Regina and, in recognition of her schooling days in Switzerland, Gertrude. They share their home with two pet dogs, five magnificent and well developed horses, two four by four's and a male cat confusingly called Juliet.

It is at the family home that Erotica is able to continue her love of riding, nature and a deep concern for the welfare of others around her. Indeed it was Erotica who spurred Sparty on to develop his interest in this area, and following an approach from Her Royal Majesty both now share the objective of raising the importance of Health and Safety with her loyal subjects.
